Raw Sockets Basics Presentation

Raw Socket programming is probably one of the most important topics in network security. Almost most of network security consists of either monitoring a network or protecting it from an attack. Network monitoring requires that everything going on in the host network can be seen by the security device. This is accomplished by what is called Packet Sniffing. Also, techniques used to actively protect a network generally inject their own custom built packets - this is done by using Packet Injection. In this 2 part video presentation, we will look at the basics of Packet Sniffing and Packet Injection and try and understand how to make Packet Sniffing and Packet Injection programs.
