Description: Netbios or Network Basic Input/Output System is a TCP/IP based protocol originally designed by IBM and is used for communication between computers over a LAN. In this video tutorial series we will look at various utilities on how to scan, connect to and browse shares on computers using Netbios. We will first use the Nbtscan utility to find the workgroup and Netbios name of a computer. We will then proceed to connect to one of the shared directories on the computer using Smbclient.
